Mogotsi denies receiving financial assistance from ‘Cat’ Matlala

North West businessman Brown Mogotsi has denied receiving any financial support from alleged criminal kingpin Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala.
Mogotsi is testifying before the Ad Hoc Committee investigating allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the justice system.
One of the committee’s evidence leaders, Advocate Maria Mokhaoetsi, asked Mogotsi if Matlala helps him.
He refuted claims that Matlala helped him financially.
When asked how, Mokgotsi answered, “Technical knowledge on these kinds of things. Remember if a person is into business and you are not tendering, he will have a better understanding of how, the technical know-how. He did not fund that thing. I have also explained it in Madlanga that he did not put any money on that”
