Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) has accused Israel and the United States (US) of committing crimes against humanity.
This after both countries initiated military strikes against his country.
Ambassador Amir-Saeid Iravani says that hundreds of civilians have been killed or wounded in his country.
He says his country would never submit to pressure using force.
Israel’s Ambassador the UN Danny Danon has defended the joint US-Israeli military attack on Iran.
Danon says his country and the US have acted to stop a threat to his country and their allies as well as to global stability.
Both ambassadors were speaking as the Security Council convened in an emergency session over joint US-Israeli military attacks against Iran and Iran’s subsequent retaliatory strikes against US interests in the Middle East.
