Learners hospitalised after gas leak at school in Wentworth


Several learners are receiving medical attention following a gas leak at a school in Wentworth, south of Durban. Paramedics say they received a call from the school reporting that learners were having difficulty breathing.
Garrith Jameson, spokesperson for the private ambulance service, who is on the scene, says the source of the gas or chemical is unknown.

“Initial reports were received, that multiple learners are suffering difficulty in breathing due to some sort of gas in the air unsure where this gas or chemical smell is coming from.Mulitple learners are being attended to with multiple paramedics are out to assist.”
