When you first take the Camon 19 Pro out of its box, you’ll notice how much effort Tecno put into the phone’s design. The new flagship is without a doubt a standout, having been designed with a keen eye for style and fashion.
Tecno Camon 19 Pro Review: Price and what’s new
The Tecno Camon 19 Pro costs UGX 1,200,000 and is available in Tecno, MTN, and Banana Phone World stores across the country, as well as on online platforms such as Jumia Uganda.
Following the release of the Camon 18 Premier in the fourth quarter of 2021, the Camon 19 Pro introduces some significant upgrades, particularly in terms of design and camera capabilities, while remaining the brand’s flagship smartphone.
The screen is slightly larger at 6.8-inches, and the camera system includes a 64MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 2MP depth sensor, as well as a quad-LED flash and other advanced camera modes and settings.
The Mediatek MT6781 Helio G96 processor is found under the hood.
Design and display
The Camon 19 Pro has a 6.8-inch 1080p IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Given that other devices with the same refresh rate are slightly more expensive, this is a good deal at its price.
Because of the high refresh rate, using the display to watch YouTube videos and play games is very fluid. We had no problems using the phone outside because the display is excellent. Furthermore, the small bezels and chin surrounding the display make viewing content more enjoyable.
The phone has one of the thinnest bezels of any smartphone in its price range, measuring 0.98mm, and its unique design earned it the iF Design Award.

Software and Performance
The Camon 19 Pro is one of Tecno’s first and only phones to run Android 12. It’s also worth noting that it will be the first device from the manufacturer to receive the Android 13 update when it becomes available to the general public. Isn’t it a breath of fresh air?
The device’s user interface is the new HiOs 8, which has also been improved. Icons and fonts have changed visibly, and the phone has 8GB of RAM that can be expanded to 11GB with some storage space.
