Match Day four of the NGO League at Kitante Grounds delivered a thrilling spectacle, highlighted by a special appearance from the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori Marathon team.

With the highly anticipated marathon just weeks away, scheduled for August 24th in Kasese, the Tusker Lite team made a grand entrance, rallying the “Ngonians,” or old boys of Namilyango College, to support the event.

The marathon organizers infused the day’s activities with extra excitement, creating an electric atmosphere that is sure to resonate until the marathon.

The combination of football, fun, and festivities made for an unforgettable Sunday experience.

Tusker Lite’s presence was hard to miss, as they brought along a dynamic dance fitness team that entertained the Ngonians with energetic routines, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.

Patience Aguti, Project Manager at UBL, emphasized the significance of community in her remarks, stating, “We recognize the strength of this community, not just in sports, but in the way you support each other.”

“This is why we are here to support and engage the Old Boys alumni because the marathon is about an experience that brings people together, much like the bonds we see at Ngo League.”

The NGO League community responded enthusiastically, with dozens of Ngonians seizing the opportunity to register for the marathon.

Many pledged to participate in either the 5km or 10km race, showing their support for the marathon and its organizers.

Participants from over 30 countries are expected to take part in the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori Marathon.

With the course now globally accredited, this year’s marathon promises to attract runners from around the world.
