Mbarara City have tied down their versatile attacker Seiri Arigumaho to a new two-year contract.

The forward has committed to staying with the Uganda Premier League (UPL) side until 2026.

Ahead of the new season, the club also tied down two of their most influential players last season, midfielder Francis Odongo and striker Henry Kitegenyi to new contracts respectively.

This, just after the Ankole Lions had also lured coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi back to the club, replacing Wasswa Bbosa who maintained the clubs ‘mid table’ status in the 2023/24 UPL season.

Last season, the Ankole Lions finished 10th of 16 UPL teams, having accumulated 32 points from 29 games, comprising 6 wins, 14 draws and 9 losses.

Mbabazi is beefing up hos squad for the 2024/25 season, adding in new players, like winger Latif Ssenkubuge from Kataka and defender Yusuf Mafabi from Arua Hill.
