Preview: SC Villa seek return to winning ways
SC Villa will be aiming to bounce back to winning form when they take on BUL in a matchday three encounter of the Uganda Premier League at Wankulukuku.
The Jogoos began their season with a commanding 4-2 win over Mbarara City but stumbled in their second game, suffering a 1-0 defeat to newly-promoted Mbale Heroes.
Despite the season still being in its early stages, Villa fans have grown impatient, placing pressure on head coach Morley Byekwaso.
Byekwaso, who took over after the exit of Dusan Stojanovic, will be keen to guide his side to victory and ease the growing concerns among the Villa faithful.
In their quest for three points, SC Villa will be counting on the support of their home crowd and the quality within their squad. Players like Patrick Jonah Kakande are expected to play key roles in breaking down BUL, a team known for its physicality.
BUL, on the other hand, are also in search of their first win of the season. After drawing their first two matches, first against Police and then KCCA, they are eager to get their campaign on track.
They came close to securing victory in their opener against Police, but despite playing with a numerical advantage following the dismissal of Police’s Gerald Ogweti, they failed to capitalize.
