Kambale Moves To Libya Premier League

Forward Eric Kenzo Kambale has joined Libyan Premier League side, Al Ittihad Misurata, from six-time Uganda Premier League (UPL) champions Vipers.

Kambale had just joined the Venoms last year, and signed a two-year employment contract that would keep him at Kitende until atleast the completion of the 2024/25 campaign.

However, the player completed the move away after him and both the two other parties involved came to a common understanding of how the situation would be handled, amicably.

“Kambale, Vipers and Alittihad Misurata reached a (mutual) agreement for the experienced striker, who still had a year on his contract at Kitende,” the Venoms confirmed in an official club statement released on Thursday afternoon.

Last season, Kambale contributed seven goals for Vipers as they finished third in the UPL – scoring four times and assisting thrice.

Before joining Vipers, the 24-year-old Congolese striker had played for Sudan giants Al-Merreikh, and Ugandan side Express, which he helped to the 2020/21 UPL title and the 2021 CECAFA Kagame Cup.
