MITOOMA DEO BARUNGI,CM KATENGA S/C BURINDA AND SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORSRichard TumwebazeIn Mitooma districtwww.mknewslink.comAs leaners and students go for holidays ,parents in Mitooma district have been cautioned to observe their movements and behavior in order to protect them from any harm in this long holiday .The call was made by the Mitooma District Education officer Peace Barungi Grolia while speaking as the chief guest at the speech day and top class graduation marking the end of year for Happy Angels Nursery and Primary school ,a function that was held at school premises in Katenga sub county Mitooma district.Barungi noted that most parents think that giving freedom to children makes them the best which she says has resulted into many challenges among children where by some girls have developed unwanted pregnancies and boys have also joined bad peer groups that make them indulge into bad morals such as drug abuse ,alcoholism among others.She then called upon parents to focus on way abouts of their children give them time and listen to them and above all teach them home activities.Speaking on the same function ,the Katenga sub county chairperson ,Moses Nsasiirwe Burinda asked parents to always focus on spending on their children when they are still young to enable the grow when they are sharp in mind .Meanwhile Teddy Rugambwa the head teacher Happy Angels Nursery and primary school noted that developing children has a need to make them all around in all fields such as academics, sports, co-curricular, farming and home duties so as to create a sustainable future for them.
