The deputy speaker of parliament RT Hon Thomas Tayebwa has revealed that University scholarships are useless and are taken by the rich hence money needs to channeled to loan scheme to help the poor and the needy.Speaker Tayebwa said this yesterday during the 32nd graduation ceremony of KIU held in Ishaka Bushenyi district western Uganda.He noted that the government sponsorship scheme is no longer useful because it is always taken by the children of the rich who can sponsor themselves with in and abroad therefore the scheme should be abolished.Tayebwa was representing president Museveni at a colorful graduation of over 2000 graduates in different fields especially science where over 5students graduated with PhDs in different fields .The president in his speech called upon the youths to desist from alcoholism, prostitution among others in order for them to live longer as responsible Ugandans.The chairman board of trustees Tycoon Hassan Bassajjabalaba called on government to support research and innovations in private universities in order for them to achieve much in the education sector.TYCOON HASSAN BASSAJJA,MP MAWANDA AND RWAKASISI,ONER AND LEADERS OF KIUBEST PERFORMING UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT AT KIU 32ND GRADUATIONGRADUATES
