National Resistance Movement (NRM) and National Patriotic league of Uganda (PLU) Tooro Sub-Region have launched a joint campaign programme Dubbed “Tuko Pamaja”literally translated as we are one purposely to gunner massive support of 99% votes for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the 2026 general elections.
The colorful event which attracted thousands of people from all walks of life was held at Boma playground in Fort Portal City YESTERDAY.
The State Minister for Local Government, Hon. Victoria Businge Rusoke, speaking to the congregation told them that peace and National stability is the NRMs cornerstone For Development.To mentain this they should give President Museveni overwhelming support.
She noted that voting for President Museveni means infrastructure development such as schools, roads, electricity which will help to spur development.
Victoria also asked all civil servants to move from the comfort of their offices, go to the field and teach community members on how to benefit from government programs like PDM and Emyoga.
Voters were also urged not to vote independent leaning NRM candidates, instead vote only NRM Flag bearers.
Henry Mutegeki Basaliza the Tooro PLU Coordinator, said the ceremony was meant to equip members with knowledge to go to villages and mobilize support for President Yoweri Museveni who is an NRM flag bearer, soon visiting the region starting on 4th December 2025.
Fort Portal city NRM Chair Clare Kasande,asked PLU Members to take this message of hope and NRM gains to every village member in order to make informed voting decisions
