Mbale district RDC Bayole Stanley emphasized the need to instill ethics & integrity from a young age to combat corruption in Uganda


The Resident District Commissioner Mbale district (RDC) Mr. Bayole Stanley emphasized the need to instill ethics and integrity from a young age to combat corruption in Uganda. He suggested incorporating ethics training in schools and religious institutions, starting from primary level.The RDC proposed a 6-month civil service training for all new employees, whether in the private or government sector, to teach good behavior and ethics. Bayole stressed that anti-corruption efforts should focus on the younger generation, as older individuals are already set in their ways.The meeting, attended by various district stakeholders, aimed to develop a national anti-corruption strategy for 2025-2030. Bayole further urged the use of religious and cultural institutions to promote ethics and integrity, with daily training sessions in schools to shape the minds of young Ugandans.By Herbert Brown.
