More Chaos As Land Ministry Fails To Facilitate Ministers’ Work – Ultimate News
It’s generally accepted that the Government of Uganda is currently very broke but there is nowhere in Government where this financial crisis has manifested itself than at the ministry of lands.
At this ministry of Judith Nabakooba, things have become so bad, beyond just failing to pay service providers, to the extent of failing to facilitate ministers to go to the field and do basic Government work.
Apart from Nabakooba there are other ministers of state working at this ministry examples being Princess Namuganza, Obiga Kania and Sam Mayanja. They are each entitled to being facilitated to go out in the field to do government work but this doesn’t happen very often these days.
In his case, Sam Mayanja even pays some of his own office staff like Tamale Mirundi Junior and the research assistant because the ministry doesn’t have money. What Mayanja does is to share his salary with them and also hires a van which carries them around whenever he is going to the field to solve land problems for bibanja owners who are always being evicted.TrendingPHOTOS: Bobi Wine survives death as UPDF fire live bullets to his Vehicle. When going to the field, which he does very often, Mayanja, having been assured that the ministry is totally broke, uses his own personal money to facilitate the teams of staff and journalists he moves with including hiring a drone to transport journalists and his office staff he moves with. The same applies to Namuganza and Obiga Kania who rarely go to the field for lack of financial resources to do so.
