He urged the recruits to love their job and country, execute their duties with passion, and demonstrate loyalty and respect to leaders and fellow citizens. He highlighted the critical role the recruits will play in maintaining order at polling stations and ensuring peaceful electoral processes. The RPC also reminded trainers of their responsibility to handle trainees with care, flexibility, and professionalism. He noted that the recruits are civilians of varying ages who have not undergone medical fitness examinations, and therefore caution is needed during drills, along with adaptable training methods.SSP Wabwire further encouraged instructors to uphold strict time management, lead by example in discipline, and focus on imparting key foundational skills. These include proper conduct while on duty, paying compliments to superiors, correct uniform presentation, and appropriate behaviour at polling stations.According to the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson, ASP Elly Maate, 730 recruits are from Kabale District, while 334 are from Rukiga District where the training will run for two weeks.
