By Wiber Muhwezi Kasibante (MK)In Bushenyi districtwww.mknewslink.comA police constable attacked to Bushenyi police station last night 10th Dec 2025 lost an AK47 gun while guarding at Bushenyi chief magistrates and High court.According to credible sources at Bushenyi police the suspect persuaded into drinking alcohol and eventually became absolutely drunk hence could not in the morning know the whereabouts of the gun.Bushenyi DPC, OC CID, Deputy RPC and regional CID declined to name the suspect but referred www.mknewslink.com MD to the police PRO SP Tayebwa Apollo whose phones were all switched off.The Police confirmed that the suspect was arrested and is in custody at Bushenyi police and the investigations on the gun which is in illegal hands are ongoing.On the other hand Bushenyi police was tight lipped on the names of the suspect whom sources revealed that he overdrunk alcohol while on duty and could not know where the gun was today morning.Bushenyi police authorities called upon the public with in Bushenyi district and outside to be on the watch out such that they discover the stolen gun and lead police to recover it.A stolen gun in the public a dangerous tool for robbery,theft and murder of innocent civilians.
