Will NEC FC Keep Cromwell Rwothomio? – The Hoima Post –

Prolific marksman Cromwell Rwothomio could be headed out of NEC FC after a clause in his contract permits his exit this month.

While Rwothomio signed a one-year contract with NEC at the beginning of the 2023/24 season, the two parties agreed to a clause allowing the player to join other clubs at the end of the first round.

And sources close to the player have intimated that the player, who is technically a free agent in this window, could head out should he receive a juicier offer.

Other reliable sources have also revealed that top clubs within the league and outside the country are already inquiring about the player’s contract status.

Meanwhile, it’s also believed that NEC is working around the clock to extend his stay by offering him a new, longer contract.

Since departing Vipers SC, Rwothomio has rediscovered his scoring boots and is currently the club’s top-scorer with six goals in 11 league appearances.

Besides NEC and Vipers, Rwothomio has also featured for URA FC, where he made his loudest noise.

With the Tax Collectors, he netted 35 Uganda Premier League goals in 67 games across three and a half seasons.
