NETA Uganda to Sponsor 10 Businesswomen for Egypt Trade and Investment Mission

By Kabuye Ronald

The National Entrepreneurs and Traders Association Uganda (NETA–Uganda), a national umbrella body dedicated to representing, uniting, and empowering entrepreneurs and traders across Uganda through advocacy, capacity building, and strategic partnerships, has announced a fully sponsored business mission to Egypt for 10 Ugandan businesswomen.

The initiative aims to enable the selected entrepreneurs to benchmark with their Egyptian counterparts, build strategic partnerships, and explore investment opportunities between Uganda and Egypt. The program is also designed to equip the women with knowledge and practical insights to transform their enterprises into large, competitive, and sustainable ventures.

NETA–Uganda National Chairperson, Thadeus Musoke Nagenda, said the primary objective of the trip is to foster cooperation between Ugandan and Egyptian entrepreneurs, encourage Egyptian investment in Uganda, and strengthen bilateral trade relations.

“Our focus is on empowering Ugandan businesswomen by exposing them to new markets, innovative practices, and strategic partnerships that can accelerate business growth,” Nagenda emphasized.

During the visit, the entrepreneurs will engage with leading women business leaders in Egypt, explore market and investment opportunities in both countries, and participate in high-level trade engagements facilitated by NETA–Uganda.

The delegation will attend the Egypt Emirates for Treatment and Coating Materials Exhibition, scheduled for May 7–9, 2026, at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in Cairo, Egypt.

NETA–Uganda says the exposure will provide participants with firsthand experience in international trade exhibitions, networking platforms, and cross-border investment promotion.
