Two security guards shot in CIT heist on N2 southbound in KZN


Two security guards have been shot and wounded, one critically, in a cash-in-transit heist on the N2 near the NPC cement factory in the south of Durban.  
The critically wounded security guards have been airlifted to hospital following the incident which happened on Wednesday morning.  
Paramedic Garrith Jamieson says the N2 southbound will be closed for quite some time to allow investigators to investigate this incident. 
“The N2 southbound has been closed by NPC has been closed and will be closed for quite some time to allow investigators to investigate this incident. I would advise motorists to avoid this area at all costs. At this stage the events leading up to this alleged robbery are unknown. However, all necessary officials are in attendance and will be investigating further.”
