Ramaphosa conveys condolences to the Lekota family

President Cyril Ramaphosa has conveyed his condolences to the Lekota family. He says he and the late Congress of the People, COPE, leader Mosioua Lekota have come a long way as activists.
Lekota died in the early hours of Wednesday morning at a hospital in Midrand, Johannesburg.
He was an anti-apartheid activist who cut his political teeth in the Black Consciousness Movement. He joined the United Democratic Front, UDF, before becoming an ANC member.
Ramaphosa, who has known Lekota for years, has paid tribute to him.
“We met at University and we were both expelled from the university for political activism. We met again when we were both at the ANC, he became a minister in our government. He went off, and he formed his own organisation. He was a committed South African, he loved this country.”

Mosiuoa Terror Lekota and I have a long history of political activism. He was a committed South African who loved his country and I will continue to honour him. My deepest condolences go to his family and loved ones. pic.twitter.com/GsC70Cg5HN
