General Mkhwanazi is a constitutional delinquent: Adams

Member of Parliament and National Coloured Congress (NCC) leader Fadiel Adams has accused  KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi of disregarding the law.
He appears before Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee investigating allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the justice system on Wednesday.
Mkhwanazi had identified Adams as one of two MPs who had access to classified information.
Adams says that the classified information was slid under his office door after which he opened criminal cases against senior South African Police Services (SAPS) management.
“I do believe General Mkhwanazi is a constitutional delinquent. He rather wants me to cover it up.”
He adds that he supported the disbandment of the Political Killings Task Team (PKTT).
Ad Hoc Committee | “I have no faith in the SAPS,” says Adams

Adams says the funds that were spent on the PKTT could have been used to boost crime fighting resources in some hotspots. “The PKTT for me is a total waste, it costs us a R100 million a year.”
Adams painted a murky picture of crime intelligence, among others that the divisional commissioner, Lt-General Dumisani Khumalo, does not have the required security clearance and that the division is part of money laundering activities.
Members of Parliament will have their turn to question Adams, on a date that is yet to be determined.
