President Cyril Ramaphosa will undertake a state visit to Brazil this Monday and Tuesday on the invitation of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
South Africa and Brazil share historic and fraternal ties, built on friendship, shared African heritage, solidarity, South Cooperation and multilateralism.
The state visit will focus on, amongst others, enhancing diplomatic, political, economic and commercial relations as well as strengthening cooperation in agribusiness, aerospace, and energy.
Brazil, the largest economy in Latin America, remains a key partner for South Africa.
Bilateral trade between South Africa and Brazil reached R32.5 billion in 2025, with South African exports amounting to R5.2 billion.
