St Mark High School Too Big For Other Schools As Round 1 Climaxes


Kayunga District Secondary Schools Sports Associations qualifiers for the U20 Boys Football kicked off over the weekend following the draws where over 32 Schools were drawn.
St Mark High School Kayunga sent statement to other schools in the competition after registering the biggest win in Kayunga District Qualifiers this year when they thrashed BLK Muwonge by 10-0 scoreline.
Felix Ssekabuuza coached side was drawn in group H alongside Kitatya Secondary School, BLK Muwonge SS from Kyabazala and Busaana Secondary School.
In their opening game, St Mark High School defeated Kitatya Secondary School by 4-0. Hakaya Mbazira and Makai Jaziru Jamani both had a brace registered on their names but with many scoring opportunities missed.
Their second game was against helpless Kyabazala based side in BLK Muwonge Secondary School whom they thrashed 10-0.
Target man Hakaya Mbazira registered a poker, Makai Jaziru Jamani and Kaliisa Joseph Allan both netted a brace, Musa Ssengendo and Sam Emokot scored one each.
In their last group games, St Mark High School defeated neighbors in Busaana Secondary School by 3-0 scoreline. Thanks to goals from Musa Ssengendo, Makai Jaziru Jamani and Shakur Ssendikadiwa.
In other group games played at St Kalemba Nazigo, Busaana SS defeated BLK Muwonge by 2-0 before registering the same scoreline against Kitatya SS.
In an encounter between BLK Muwonge and Kitatya Secondary School the later were victorious by 1-0 scoreline.
All the Sixteen (16) qualified schools will convene on Wednesday in draws for round two (2) of the qualifiers.
Four schools from Kayunga District will qualify to Mukono Zone qualifiers with the Zone yet to announce the host District and School.
As per the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Associations allocation of slots, Mukono was given three (3) slots in U20 Boys Football which will be hosted at Lira Town College in Lira.
