Tensions flare at Madlanga Commission over seating dispute

Tensions flared at the Madlanga Commission as North-West businessman Suliman Carrim‘s lawyer, Kameel Premhid, clashed with the secretary over seating arrangements.
The Commission has resumed after ruling against Carrim’s application to testify in camera.
Carrim’s legal counsel had argued that his client had been receiving death threats.
However, evidence leader Adila Hassim has argued that the alleged threats have not been linked to his appearance at the Commission.
Commissioner Mbuyiseli Madlanga has addressed the heated altercation that took place earlier between Carrim’s lawyer and the commission’s secretary.
