Betway Premiership leaders Orlando Pirates title aspirations have suffered a major blow. The Buccaneers had to come from behind to play a 1-all draw with Siwelele F.C.
Pirates dropped two valuable points, and now lead second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns by just a single points having played one extra game.
Siwelele captain and keeper Ricardo Goss produced breathtaking saves to deny Pirates on many occasions. Former Pirates attacker Vincent Pule silenced the partisan crowd when he scored for the visitors against the run of play in the 30th minute. Goss continued to produce more brilliant saves and the visitors led 1-nil at half-time.
Moremi equalised for Pirates six minutes into the second half.
Pirates got more chances to win the match but Goss was in an uncompromising mood.
In other matches played this afternoon Golden Arrows beat a 10-men Marumo Gallants 2-1 away from home. Bottom of the log Magesi F.C played to a 2-all draw with Chippa United.
