Forecaster Sihle Dlamini says residents may experience heavy downpours, frequent lightning and strong winds. He warns that the conditions could lead to localised damage to infrastructure and settlements, as well as flooding on vulnerable roads and bridges.
“60% chance of showers and thundershowers across the province and then tomorrow (Sunday) we’re expecting a 60% still but it’s mainly just for the western part of the province. We have issued a warning that is valid for today into tomorrow and that is just covering the western part of the province. But for today that level two was only covering just the extreme northern part of the province.”
