Police hunt suspects after lawyer killed in Johannesburg CBD

Police in Gauteng are appealing to the public for assistance in locating two suspects linked to the fatal shooting of a lawyer in the Johannesburg CBD.
Chinette Gallichan, a 35-year-old lawyer at Sibanye-Stillwater, was shot and killed outside the CCMA offices at the intersection of Fox and Joubert Streets on Monday.
Gallichan was allegedly followed by the suspects before being shot. The suspects fled the scene on foot.
Gauteng police spokesperson Tintswalo Sibeko says, “Anyone with information that can assist in the investigation may contact their nearest police station or call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111. The motive for the attack will form part of investigations. No arrests have been made at this stage. Police are investigating a case of murder.”
