ACDP urges unity to resolve infrastructure issues in the Vaal

African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) caucus leader in the Emfuleni Municipality, Sello Mokhele, has pleaded with politicians to work together to improve infrastructure in the Vaal.
He was speaking during a candlelight ceremony for four young people who died when their car crashed into a tree after avoiding a pothole on Frikkie Meyer Boulevard in Vanderbijlpark last week.
Two other passengers are recovering in hospital.
Mokhele urged politicians to use municipal funds for their intended purpose.
“There is a lot of money coming to the municipality…this is the time that that money is now used for these potholes. Municipal infrastructure grants are coming in but potholes are still here. I think it’s time we put our political difference aside and make sure that we deliver service delivery that is due to the people of the Vaal.”
Last month, fourteen school learners passed away in a tragic accident in Vanderbijlpark.
