The Bulls continued their remarkable turnaround after their recent slump. They beat the Sharks 41-12 in their United Rugby Championship match at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria, outscoring their opponents by seven tries to two.
The Bulls led 22-0 at half-time and have now cemented their place in the top eight.
There’s a good chance that all four South African teams can qualify for the quarterfinals of the competition, but the Sharks, who are 11th on the table, have some work to do.
Meanwhile, the Lions leapfrogged the Stormers on the United Rugby Championship points table after a 24-10 victory in Johannesburg. The Gauteng side led 14-0 at halftime and outscored their opponents by 3 tries to 1. The Lions moved into 4th place on the log ahead of other matches to be played this weekend.
It was a 2nd consecutive victory for the Joburg side after beating the Sharks last weekend as well.
