By Wilber Muhwezi Kasibante (MK)In Buhenyiwww.mknewslink.com8 MP independent candidates across the 3 constituencies of Bushenyi have vowed not leave the race even if the president meets them before or after 2nd December 2025 when he visits the district to campaign.The above and many were revealed today November 28, 2025 at Ankole resort Hotel in Bushenyi town.The team was led by Nicholas Ndyakira Muhereza ‘Kinawoluvu’ a retired president’s lawyer and a lecturer of law in universities.After the press conference, the 6 out of 8 proceeded to BFM to emphasize their points to the public that they are hunting for votes for president Museveni but will not quit the race even if he advises them so.Those who addressed the press conference include: Nicholas Ndyakira, Herbert Bwirizayo, Casbert Tukundane Kasiano, Caroline Namara, Edwin Twinomugisha among others.Those who were absent with apology included: Kemigisha Vianah ‘Nyamunyonyi’ and Tugume Bonifance for woman MP and Igara West respectively.The above independents expressed dissatisfaction over the NRM chairman Hassan Bassajjabalaba and other party leaders in Bushenyi district overlooking them and not giving them an opportunity to participate in the formulation of the memorandum that will be presented to the president on Tuesday next week.They added that they were forced to call a press conference to totally show that they are behind president Museveni and assuring him that those with party flags that they allegedly received illegally from Dr. Tanga Odoi will keep them in their homes and they are the winners.
