Businessman Brown Mogotsi to face Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee

North West businessman Brown Mogotsi will appear before Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee on Tuesday
He is a central figure in allegations of corruption, political interference, and leaks of confidential police information.
The committee is probing allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the justice system.
Mogotsi initially wanted to appear virtually, citing safety concerns. However, he ultimately availed himself to appear physically.
Mogotsi has been given one day to testify, but MPs like the ANC’s Khusela Diko are concerned that one day may not be sufficient.
“We did have a question on whether one day was enough for Mr. Brown Mogotsi, but we will be guided by the chair and I suppose the meeting on that. I’m not sure, given that, you know, other witnesses who seemed to be as involved as Mr. Mogotsi were sometimes given more than a day.”
