From the deserts of southern Tunisia to the global stage of Canadian creative excellence, the journey of RA’ED Films is a powerful story of resilience, ambition, and belief in the grind.
Born in Gafsa, Tunisia, a desert city shaped by hardship and humility, the founder of RA’ED Films was raised on strong values—discipline, respect, and the meaning of real hard work. With very modest beginnings, family lessons centered on staying focused, staying strong, and never giving up, no matter the circumstances.
That mindset would later fuel an unexpected creative journey that began far from home.
In 2017, in South Korea, while studying and trying to make ends meet, he made a simple decision: start a YouTube channel. At the time, he knew nothing about filmmaking. But the moment he picked up a camera, curiosity turned into obsession. Learning shot by shot, edit by edit, filmmaking became more than a side hustle—it became a calling.
The challenge was even greater because English was not his first language, nor his second—but his third. Learning new languages, cultures, and systems from scratch became part of daily life. Still, the dream was bigger than the obstacles.
After moving to Canada, encouragement from Vybekingz pushed him to finally take a leap of faith and launch his own company. With one camera, relentless ambition, and pure hustle, RA’ED Films was born.
The business grew step by step—covering events, real estate, interviews, nightlife, and festivals. Momentum followed. RA’ED Films went on to work with major organizations such as Island Festival London, Lux Carnival, and large Caribbean cultural events including Caribana. Industry recognition also followed through sponsorships from Freewell Gear and Sandmarc, helping elevate both production quality and reach.
Then came a defining milestone.
According to official Canadian Choice Award announcements:
“CONGRATULATIONS RA’ED FILMS — WINNER IN VIDEOGRAPHERS – LONDON!”
Another official statement reads:
“We’re excited to officially share that RA’ED Films has been selected as a Winner of the 2026 Canadian Choice Award in the Videographers category for London.”
The award citation further states:
“This distinction recognizes businesses that demonstrate excellence, professionalism, and meaningful community impact. Your win reflects the trust you’ve earned and the quality you deliver every day.”
In addition to the win, RA’ED Films was also publicly recognized among top performers, marking a major achievement for an independently built creative brand.
The 2026 Canadian Choice Award win was unexpected—but deeply meaningful. The recognition, the filmmaker says, belongs to the clients who trusted the vision, voted, shared feedback, and believed in the work.
With that trust comes responsibility.
“I promise to stay at their level of expectations and continue giving the best video representation for their businesses,” he says. “Their support is the reason I stand where I am today.”
Looking ahead, RA’ED Films is no longer a one-person operation. The company is actively growing a team, already working with part-time collaborators, with a clear goal: to build long-term partners and create opportunities for others—just as opportunity once opened doors for him.
This is more than an award story.
It’s a journey:
