CAO FIONA SANYU: NWSC AND BUSHENYI DISTRICT 101M WATER PROJECT FOR NKANGA, NYABUBARE SUB-COUNTIES WAS EXECUTED ACCORDING TO THE LAW

BY WILBER MUHWEZI KASIBANTE[MK]IN BUSHENYIwww.mknewslink.comThe chief administrative officer Bushenyi district Ms Fiona Sanyu has revealed that the 101 water project for Nkanga and Nyabubare sub-counties was executed according to the laws of Uganda.She noted that project is a partnership between National water and Sewerage Corporation and will be completed in six months.She made these remarks to mk newslink.com news website in Bushenyi town after launching the project today Jan 08, 2026.CAO Fiona Sanyu handed over the MOU between National water and Bushenyi district dully signed by heads of the above institutions.She went ahead to say that Bushenyi district council approve the MOU together with other relevant authorities.She told www.mknewslink.com MD that all relevant authorities were contacted and approved the project.The RDC Bushenyi Mr. Emmy Ngabirano told mk newslink.com that procurement guidelines were followed, solicitor general was contacted and approved the project.He added that due diligence was fully done and therefore there is no cause for alarm.RDC Ngabirano warned politicians to stop mixing the project with the ongoing politics in Bushenyi district.CAO Fiona Sanyu warned social media users to stop attacking her because she did a right thing to increase water coverage from 58% to 82% in the two sub-counties after the project is complete.She named the villages that will benefit from the above water project as; Nkuna 2, Nyakahandagazi and Matigi in Nyabubare sub-county. Villages in Nkanga are; Bweera, Oruruku, Nyakateete and Nyamitojo.
