Case of 11th suspect in the R10m Kutumela insurance killing postponed


The eleventh accused person in the insurance-related killings and fraud has made a brief appearance in the Polokwane magistrate’s court, in Limpopo.
The accused, 41-year-old Robert Shokane, had his case postponed to the 25th of March, where he will jointly appear with the other six co-accused arrested earlier this week.

Robert Shokane, who is related to the other co-accused, has also been linked to the syndicate led by the former police officer Rachel Kutumela.

The syndicate benefited about R10m by taking out policies on unsuspecting victims who died mysteriously.
Magistrate Godfrey Netshiozwi has remanded Shokane in custody.
