Certified Mediators and Advisory Board to emphasise alternative dispute resolution

Certified Mediators and Advisory Board (CMA) has announced it is launching its social governance initiatives in Uganda, focusing on Alternative Dispute Resolutions (ADRs) across various sectors, particularly in schools.By introducing conflict resolution curriculums, CMA aims to empower the next generation of citizens and leaders with essential skills to manage disputes peacefully.According to CMA, there’s a significant gap between society and governance, leading to miscommunication, rage, and violence and it seeks to address this by building bridges between divided communities and renegotiating social contracts , enhancing the ability of individuals, institutions, and societies to perform functions, solve problems, and achieve objectives sustainably encouraging patriotic and human resource development to support effective governanceCMA says by introducing ADRs and promoting social governance, it  hopes to create a more harmonious and peaceful Africa, where democracy serves the people, not the interests of a few.
