DA criticises ANC and SA over stance on US-Israel war on Iran

The DA has criticised the ANC and the position the country is taking on the US-Israeli war on Iran.  
The party’s MP Ryan Smith, says the approach of South Africa’s foreign policy has been in favour of countries like Iran.  
This was during the urgent debate on the escalating crisis in the Middle East and the implications it will have on South Africa.  
Smith argued that the ANC’s support for Iran and Russia is not good for the country. 
“In this global uncertainty, South Africa’s response to the Iran war rings hollow. Trying to simultaneously condemn all parties in this conflict under the guise of international law means the ANC has failed to see the bigger picture of Iran’s decade of sponsorship of terrorism in the region because Iran and its Russian allies are not just a threat to peace and stability in the Middle East but are a global security threat as a whole”, he said.   
South African foreign policy under the ANC cannot attempt to weigh in on this matter without accurately diagnosing the problem.
