Discontented Dissan Galiwango Eyes Return to Uganda

Former Express and Vipers defender Dissan Galiwango is considering a return to the Uganda Premier League, a source revealed to SportsNation.

Galiwango has spent a season with Tanzania Premier League side Kagera Sugar, having joined them in July 2023 after his stint with Vipers.

However, he is now expected to terminate his contract with the Tanzanian club due to multiple issues.

Long travel distances for matches, sometimes requiring up to four days, and reports of sorcery have negatively impacted his well-being.

Additionally, the unexpected death of Uganda Coach Fred Kajoba, who was with Tanzanian side Ihefu SC, has left many Ugandan players in Tanzania fearful for their safety.

Galiwango’s football journey began at Rifo Soccer Academy before he was picked by Simba SC at the start of the 2015/16 season.

Following Simba SC’s relegation, he joined new affiliate side Saints FC, where he played throughout the 2016/17 season until January 2018, when he moved to Water FC for half a season.

In 2018, Galiwango signed with Express FC, eventually becoming the team’s captain until 2020.

He then joined Vipers, spending three seasons there before moving to Kagera Sugar in Tanzania.
