Despite making the trip to the U.K, Ugandan artist Cindy Sanyu refused to step on the stage and perform for revellers after the event promoter reportedly refused to clear her balance.
The build-up to the 2026 Uganda Festival in London at Newham Leisure Centre set a scene of top anticipation on Saturday when renowned artists, deejays, emcees, and media personalities arrived in the UK.

She stated that she had agreed to a zero balance before she performed and that the promoter kept on telling her to wait for the balance to be cleared until it was too late.
Cindy apologized to the fans who had turned up to watch her perform and asked the promoter to handle the situation better next time.
