Kyaddondo Ssaza head coach Bright Nyanzi Taddeo has stepped down from his position, this website understands.
The experienced tactician is understood to have resigned following Kyadondo’s 1-0 defeat away to Busujju in Matchday Three of the 2026 Masaza Cup.
Kyaddondo finished the match with 10 men after goalkeeper Ashraf Bwabye was sent off, compounding a disappointing afternoon for the visitors.
Following the final whistle, sections of the Kyadondo supporters reportedly confronted the coach, forcing police officers to intervene and escort him away from the angry crowd.
According to reliable sources, Nyanzi has decided to step down, believing he cannot continue working in an environment where his safety is under threat.
The defeat leaves Kyaddondo without a victory after three matches, having previously drawn against Buweekula and Buddu in their opening two fixtures.
Nyanzi, a CAF B Licence holder, previously served as assistant coach to Simon Peter Mugerwa when Busiro won the 2023 Masaza Cup title.
Elsewhere, Mawokota edged Gomba 1-0, while Buddu registered a 1-0 victory over struggling defending champions Buweekula to continue their impressive start to the campaign.
