FORTPORTAL CITY HEALTH AT STAKE: FACILITIES NO LONGER CONDUCT DELIVERIES DUE TO LACK OF PLACENTA PITS

By Sunday AloziousIn Fortportalwww.mknewslink.comThe North Division leaders in Fort portal City have expressed concern over the lack of placenta pits at Rubingo and Kiguma Health center IIIs which has hindered health workers from conducting maternal service delivery.During the North Division Executive Committee monitoring of government projects at the facilities, health workers decried the lack of placenta pits which they say stops them from conducting deliveries despite the facilities being fully equipped with the necessary equipment needed in the maternity ward.Mashuhuko Joseph the Mayor North Division also expressed concern over the lack of a fence, walk ways among others.Mashuhuko pledged to the people that the division will take up all the challenges so that they are addressed and called them to utilize these newly constructed facilities to seek medical care when it’s still early to reduce the disease burden.Mr. Bukenya Sadi the RCC North Division called on people to ensure hygiene and proper sanitation in their homes to prevent diseases since most of the diseases are preventable.
