FUBA Postpones Women’s NBL Finals
The Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) has announced the postponement of Game 6 and Game 7 of the Women’s National Basketball League Finals.
The delay comes as both JKL Lady Dolphins and UCU Lady Canons, the two finalists, are impacted by the forthcoming 3×3 World Cup in Mongolia.
Key players from both teams will be participating in the global event, necessitating the pause in the league’s finals.
FUBA has yet to announce the new dates for the remaining games, but the finals are expected to resume after September 18th.
Game six was due this Sunday at Lugogo Indoor Arena, per initial schedule
It’s strong to note that City Oilers swept KIU Titans to win the Men’s championship for a record extending tenth time in a row.
JKL Lady Dolphins currently lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 after a 62-51 victory over UCU Lady Canons in Game 5 at Lugogo.
The defending champions rebounded from two early losses to claim three straight wins, putting them just one victory away from retaining their title.
