Duada Kavuma Reveals Triplets Ghetto Kids Earn More From YouTube Than Celebrity Shoutouts
Dauda Kavuma, Triplets Ghetto Kids manager, has opened up about their source of income, noting that celebrity mentions do not always come with money.
Over the years, Ghetto Kids have been recognized by several global stars, including French Montana and P. Diddy, with Shakira being the most recent on the list.
When asked how they got the mentions, Dauda revealed that they set themselves up to be seen on social media. He explained that they usually picked out viral songs and danced to them, and when they shared clips on social media, they made sure to tag the celebrity accounts alongside some of the people around them for recognition.

He gave an example of when they danced to ‘I’ll be missing you’ by P. Diddy, whom they had known through French Montana. Despite not receiving financial support, they at least gained more visibility and opportunities, through which they even bought land in Makindye.
“I will not say that we always get money, but out of situations like that, you can get followers, or even connections. When we did ‘Unforgettable’ way back, he gave us some money, which I later realised was very little. I do not want to speak about some things because we signed a nondisclosure agreement. But later, he gave us other opportunities, and we did a song which sold that song to World Star, who paid us handsomely,” he said.
Dauda revealed that YouTube stands out as their main source of funding, which provides them with monthly income.
