I’m Albert Kamau from Rongai in Kajiado. This happened to me last week after I admired the nice 85inches television my neighbor Susan Mwende bought online. I didn’t hesitate to ask her where she bought it. Susan mentioned the name of the online shop but I misspelt the name and found a similar page created by scammers ready to benefit from people like me. Instead of Julia.com,I went to Jumuia.com. I saw similar brands of televisions but the prices were a bit lower compared to what Susan had mentioned.

I assumed it was my luck since the page admin told me they were available on a large discount since it was their anniversary week. I thought I had hit the jackpot since one set of an LG television was retailing at Kshs 75,000. It didn’t cross my mind that when the deal is too good, think twice. I deposited the full amount of two sets into their pay bill and received a delivery note stating that my order would be dispatched in next day and delivery would take place within the next 48 hours. They also gave me their cellphone number and their offices location at a popular building in Kajiado. I waited calmly for my order to arrive.

I got worried after the promised period lapsed without results. I gave them additional time just in case there were delays. I later contacted them but their number was off. My previous excited mood dissolved and was quickly replaced with anxiety. They following day I paid them a visit at the location they had gave me but I was shocked to find that a travel agency was occupying the office they were supposed to be operating from. Apparently they didn’t exist neither did they have any office. The whole fiasco was a scam that left my heart racing and a severe headache.my head was spinning and immediately fainted.

After regaining consciousness, I found myself surrounded by a group of strangers amongst them was the watchman to the building who had poured water on my head to come to. They were all curious to know what had happened, I explained to them. One of them, a middle aged woman pulled me aside and informed me of a traditional herbalist from Vihiga called Dr Mugwenu. She told me he could help me recover my stolen money. After a phone call with the herbalist, he assured me that I would recover my money in full. Using his powerful spell, she was able to locate them after a swarm of bees escorted them to where I was.The crowd gave them a thorough beating. They sent all of my 150k, in addition they had to pay a hefty fine of Kshs 70,000 to reverse Dr mugwenu’s powerful spells. The scammers learnt a harsh lesson and knew from that day onwards they should respect the name of Dr Mugwenu.
