I didn’t sell Busiro East – Walukagga clarifies


Kyengera, Wakiso- Singer Mathias Walukagga who was denominated from Busiro East elections, has broken the silence on allegations that he sold out the Constituency to Emmanuel Magoola Matovu the winner of the elections.

In a media interview, Walukagga stated that the agreement was seeking to compensate him the money he had used in combing the Constituency for the votes
“I gave Magoola my resources, I had built a strong structure using my personal resources and the money I asked for was a compensation.”
Walukagga also stated that, it was his team which campaigned for Magoola and also protected his vote untill the last point of tallying.
“In the agreement I was very clear that incase he doesn’t win, he wouldn’t pay me that amount.” Walukagga added
In the said agreement, Magoola agreement to pay Walukagga a lump sum of 350 million shillings for rallying on his back in the Parliamentary election for Busiro East.
Magoola defeated Hon. Medard Ssegona, the incumbent members, National Resistance Movement’s Hajji Abdu Kiyimba and several others in the recently concluded elections.
