“I thank all my supporters for the votes. I accept whatever came out as the results,” Remarked Bagala during a media interview
She pledged to continue standing with and supporting the people of Mityana throughout the next five-year term, noting that her commitment to the constituency remains unchanged.
Bagala, however, observed that the elections were marked by several irregularities, including alleged vote rigging, but emphasized the need for reflection and strategic reorganization within the opposition.
“The elections had a number of irregularities such as vote rigging, but this should be a lesson to all of us. We need to reflect and retreat so that we can move forward. We must deliberate on how to gain power, because without it, not much can be achieved,” she stated.
Hon. Joyce Bagala Ntwatwa was defeated by Hon. Judith Nabakooba, the incumbent Minister of Lands.
