This was revealed during Juliet Agasha Bashisha’s campaign launch In Ruhinda central as an independent candidate in a function that was held at Kyankukwe play ground in Mitooma sub county Mitooma district.
The campaign saw many people trek from the camp of the NRM flag bearer Kyarampe Rebecca to Agasha’s independent camp claiming that they were taken by false accusations in the previous party elections.
Mwesigye Vincent the NRM chairperson for Katunda parish noted that it’s time for people to open eyes and look for leaders who will push Mitooma district to another level not just looking at parties but capacity.
Namanya Adrian, the Mitooma district NRM finance secretary noted that however much Hon. Agasha is standing as independent, the district party leadership is ready to support such hardworking candidates since they are also NRM leaning.
Meanwhile, Juliet Agasha Bashisha the who is the incumbent district woman member of parliament showed gratitude for the overwhelming support and love showered to her and vowed to continue serving them unconditionally.
Hon. Bashisha cited the unacceptable irregularities in the past election and the will for Mitooma people to continue with her developmental programmes as the reason she decided to come independent.
