Preview: Kitara out to make amends
Kitara will be aiming for redemption when they host newly promoted Police FC in a Uganda Premier League clash at Royals Park in Butema, Hoima.
Since their opening win against Lugazi, Kitara has suffered consecutive defeats to NEC and KCCA.
“We’re coming off disappointing results, but we’ve taken valuable lessons that we hope to apply in the next game and reverse the setback we experienced against NEC,” said Kitara head coach Brian Ssenyondo.
“Moving forward, we aim to build on those lessons and deliver a strong performance. We know our opponents will be motivated, but we’ve been focusing on our defense and finishing, and we expect a much-improved game.”
Ssenyondo also emphasized that the team’s title ambitions remain intact despite the recent losses: “The title chase isn’t over. We’re making steady progress toward our season’s objectives, and we still believe they are within reach.”
Meanwhile, unbeaten Police FC has earned three points from their first three games, all ending in draws against BUL, Mbarara City, and Bright Stars.
