Lekota’s first memorial service to take place on Wednesday

Congress of the People (COPE) says its leader, Mosiuoa Lekota’s first memorial service will take place on Wednesday at the Regina Mundi Catholic Church in Soweto, Johannesburg.
The church played an important role during the struggle against apartheid.
Another memorial service will take place in Bloemfontein on Thursday.
Lekota’s special official funeral category two will be held in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
COPE acting national chairperson Pakes Dikgetsi says, “The Johannesburg memorial service, there has been a change from that which was announced yesterday, which was [supposed to be held in] Pimville, on Tuesday.”
“Now, after consultations and interactions with various people, broad sections of people, especially in Soweto, the family and COPE decided to change from Tuesday to Wednesday.”  – Reporting by Kamohelo Tsotetsi
