The trial within a trial in the case of six men accused of mass murder of 18 people in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape has been adjourned until Wednesday.
Proceedings were suspended by the Mthatha High Court sitting in Lusikisiki due to inclement weather causing noise in the court room.
The state has called a new witness, police officer Zonwabele Mpofana, who testified via video link.
Mpofana is the police officer that arrested two accused in Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal, who are connected to the shooting.
Mpofana has told the court that police received information from an informant that accused number two, Aphiwe Ndende and accused number four, Bonga Hintsa, were hiding in an informal settlement in Port Shepstone.
This was after a photo was circulated on social media.
He says they rushed to Mkholombe informal settlement where they found the accused sleeping.
However, he has denied allegations that the accused were assaulted or ill-treated during their arrest.
