Although Court had earlier on set today as the date at which it will hold the vote recount exercise, this has not been successful after finding that five of the ballot boxes from various parts of the Constituency were having seals which had been tampered with.
In the recently concluded Parliamentary elections, the Electoral Commission declared National Unity Platform’s Yusuf Kiruluta Nkeretanyi as the winner with 15,473 votes , followed by Hon. Vincent Sempijja with 13,298 votes.
