Senior Labour officer Raymond WasukiraBy Wilber Muhwezi Kasibante (MK)In Mbararawww.mknewslnk.comThe ministry of gender, labour and social development has kick started the campaign to uproot all illegal labour organization that export Ugandan youth to Asian countries.Mr. Raymond Wasukira, the senior Labour officer, told the press briefing at Pelikan Hotel in Mbarara on Wednesday November 26, 2025 that the campaign will cover the whole country including border areas of Uganda.Mr. Wasukira added that they are going to rain on all illegal labour organizations that take people and whoever will be found without valid license will be taken to police and eventually to court for others to learn.He noted that all external labour organizations are going to be scrutinized thoroughly well to ensure that Ugandans don’t suffer abroad again.He also observed that some youth seeking employment abroad don’t read their contracts thoroughly well hence absolutely suffering during their work.Mr. Wasurika noted that there is very little money in government to support the young people therefore it cannot employ them hence them seeking employment abroad and suffering from there.
